Yasmina Benazzou, Global Design Director at Tai Ping. It’s simply the person that must be consulted when you decide to invest in a carpet. All her interviews, articles and writings, give precious advices to identify and name the best possible : from your need and wishes, to your space. It’s just a question of finding the right balance and the intensity with the rest of the room (through its architecture, light or even furnishings). She explains and guides us with an introduction of colours while maintaining the harmony, the balance and the visual interest of the room.
The lastest line of rugs called Chroma by Tai Ping, was conceived as abstract pieces of art.
Tai Ping wanted to reconnect with something authentic, designed by hand. Chroma represents the explosion of loud and clear colours. Yasmina Benazzou was inspired for this collection by the various mediums : watercolours, ink, dye, gouache, acrylic - and techniques of painting.
The colours become the language and the carpet : the great canvas.
Finally, it must be remembered that « the rug is an architectural element that serves as a color statement as opposed to a purely decorative element ».

Yasmina Benazzou, Design Directeur Mondial chez Tai Ping. C’est simplement la personne qu’il faut consulter lorsqu’on décide d’investir dans un tapis. Toutes ces interviews, articles, ou écrits sont des précieux conseils pour cerner et nommer le mieux possible : votre besoin et vos envies, à votre espace. Il est juste question de trouver le juste équilibre et l’intensité avec le reste de la pièce (à travers son architecture, sa lumière ou encore l’ameublement) . Elle nous explique et nous guide à l’introduction de couleurs tout en maintenant l’harmonie, l’équilibre, et l’intérêt visuel de la pièce.
La dernière collection de tapis appelée Chroma de Tai Ping, a été conçue et pensée comme des pièces d’art abstraites.
Tai Ping a voulu renouer avec quelque chose d’authentique, fait à la main.Chroma représente une explosion de couleurs légères et intenses. Yasmina Benazzou s’est inspirée pour cette collection par les différents médiums (aquarelle, encre, colorant, gouache, acrylique) et techniques de la peinture. Les couleurs deviennent langage et le tapis : une véritable toile.
Au final, il faut retenir que « le tapis est un élément architectural qui sert comme une déclaration de la couleur par opposition à un élement purement décoratif ».
